Maddy is a Midwesterner who grew up in a family of East Coast transplants. She lived abroad in Israel and Malaysia before settling back in the Twin Cities where she now lives with her husband.

She is currently a fiction fellow with The Loft Literary Center. Her work primarily focuses on Midwestern  landscapes, ancestry, and human connection.

When she isn’t writing, you can find her enjoying the snowy Minnesota winters, practicing her guitar, reading too many books, and spoiling her niece and nephews.
